Moxa Debuts VPort P06-1MP-M12-T IP Network Camera

Moxa VPort P06-1MP-M12-TMoxa Americas has just unveiled its new rugged, easy-to-install VPort P06-1MP-M12-T IP surveillance camera, complete with HD resolution. This camera has been designed for mobile environments, including delivery vehicles, trains, trams, subway cars, high speed rails, taxi cabs, police cruisers, metro buses and school buses.

The camera itself is very robust, especially for an advanced IP network camera. In addition to that, this camera operates in temperatures ranging from -40° F to 167° F and is certified EN50155 for long-term reliability of on-board electronic equipment that is subjected to constant EMC, shock, vibration, temperature variation and humidity.

Moreover, this camera also provides the security of vibration-resistant M12 connectors and IP66 rain and dust protection outdoor exposure along with a 5-year warranty. It’s tricky mounting cameras on vehicles, which is why this camera also sports a profile of less than two inches, relying on limited installation space.

This camera also supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) for simplified wiring and includes one audio input for audio recording. Additionally, this camera is also ONVIF compliant for standardization and interoperability in VMS video management software used in applications today.

The VPort P06 also supports Moxa’s Dynastream technology with dynamic bandwidth management that optimizes mobile network performance while Moxa’s CBR Pro technology is also built in to provide a constant bit rate for better video image transmission with limited bandwidth requirements.

Finally, both H.264 and MJPEG video streaming are supported by the camera in order to optimize bandwidth efficiency and image quality based on compression level, frame rate and video resolution. This camera also supports up to 30fps at 720p HD resolution, which covers larger areas than legacy analog cameras with more detail.  The addition of Digital Noise Reduction (DNR), Black Level Control (BLC) and Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) functions are just added bonuses.
