Moxa’s New VPort 26 Fixed-Dome Outdoor IP Camera

Moxa VPort 26Moxa has just announced the release of its VPort 26, a new outdoor fixed-dome IP camera that is designed to deliver video surveillance in some of the harshest outdoor environments. The VPort 26 is vandal-resistant, IP66 rated and has a rugged design and is also capable of providing high image quality at SVGA resolution as well as three simultaneous H.264/MJPEG 3 video streams and also has a day/night camera lens.

This camera captures high quality video images using a 2.8 to 11 mm vari-focal lens, which adapts to any viewing angles and distance requirements you need. The built-in removable IR-cut filter and automatic switching from color to B/W images makes this camera suitable for use in both day and night situations.

Images also gain further enhancement with the 3D-DNR (3D Digital Noise Reduction) which significantly reduces noise and the WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) which also produces better images in conditions with backlighting. What’s more is that the de-mist function, which is optional, ensures that you get great image quality, even in rainy, snowy or hazy environments.

This camera is also designed to encode both H.264 and MJPEG video streams while simultaneously transmitting up to three independent video streams at up to 30 frames per second (fps). Users will also be able to assign each individual stream to a specific purpose and advanced network security functions also prevent unauthorized access or stolen data.
