JVC Professional Products recently revealed its all new VN-H57 series of IP-based security cameras, all of which featuring day/night performance and Super LoLux HD technology. In addition to that, each of the new cameras in the series comes with embedded Clear Logic Video Intelligence (C.L.V.I.) image processing for back light compensation, edge enhancement and anti-fog capabilities.
JVC brings four new cameras to the VN-H57 series with the VN-H57U box camera, VN-H57U vandal-resistant indoor mini dome camera, VN-H157WPU outdoor bullet camera with IP66-rated housing and the VN-H257VPU outdoor vandal-resistant dome camera with IP66-rated housing.
Each camera model features built-in intelligent audio detection as well as motion detection in addition to active tampering alarms, auto focus and bi-directional audio. All Super LoLux HD cameras offer multi-codec support, including M-JPEG, MPEG-4 and H.264 High Profile and can also output a dual stream of M-JPEG and H.246 simultaneously.
JVC’s H.264 High Profile DSP maintains image quality and offers up to 50% better compression efficiency than the H.264 Baseline Profile or H.264 Main Profile. Each camera in the series also includes a 1/3″ Super LoLux CMOS imager that delivers full 1080p HD 2.2MP at up to 30 frames per second (FPS) and can also produce rich colorĀ imagesĀ in light as low as 0.15 lux.
The VN-H57U, which does not include an integrated lens, offers remote and auto back focus while all the other models offer remote and auto focus as well as JVC’s fine focus adjustment technology. Other features include SD card reading, privacy mask, 3D noise reduction, alarm in/out and a choice of either Power over Ethernet (PoE) or AC24V.
All four cameras also support ONVIF and PSIA standards for network cameras along with a plethora of leading video management software (VMS) platforms, including Milestone Xprotect.
