Samsung Techwin America has just updated its iPolis security camera line with the addition of four new IR night-vision outdoor video surveillance cameras. These new models, which includes two new dome models and two new bullet cameras, are capable of capturing high-resolution images and video in complete darkness and each one is IP66 rated, ensuring safe use in severe or drastically changing weather conditions.
Samsung’s iPolis SNV-7080R dome camera is an outdoor 3MP network video camera that provides 16:9 1080p full HD video quality and images. In addition to that, this camera includes 15 IR LED illuminators that allow for a maximum viewing distance of 75 feet in complete and total darkness.
The WiseNet2 DSP chipset, which is incorporated in the camera, is designed to provide maximum benefit for megapixel technology and includes Wide Dynamic Range as well as Smart Compression with region-of-interest encoding. H.264 compression also allows for lower bandwidth, high-resolution images with the H.264/MJPEG dual codec supplying multiple streaming.
The camera also includes a motorized 3-8.55mm (2.8x) vari-focal lens, which allows you to remotely adjust zoom and focus settings after installation. You can choose from a plethora of resolutions, including CIF, 1080p and full 3 megapixels with the ability to transmit selected streams for viewing and recording.
The iPolis SNV-5080R, which is the new dome version, is a fixed dome camera that offers resolutions of up to 1.3MP and includes 720p HD output and an IR viewable range of up to 50 feet. H.264/MJPEG/MPEG-4 multiple codecs also include multiple streaming using H.264 compression.
The iPolis SNO-7080R is an outdoor 3MP bullet camera with 32 infrared LEDs for a range up to 150 feet in complete darkness. This camera, complete with a 2.8x vari-focal motorized zoom lens, can capture 16:9 full HD images at 1m920 x 1,080p with wide dynamic range and features a dual H.264 and MPEG codec.
The final camera in the series is the iPolis SNO-5080R, a 1.3MP IP camera capable of displaying multiple resolutions from 320 x 240 through 16:9 format 720p to full 1.3MP 1,280 x 1,080p. This camera is capable of illuminating objects up to 100 feet away and also includes a multistream H.264/MPEG-4/MJPEG codec. Regardless of what you need, one of the four new cameras in Samsung’s iPolis Series should be able to do the trick.
